Nothing Ear, Ear (a) with integrated ChatGPT launched — Check Specs, Price, and Availability

Nothing Ear, Ear (a) launched: Nothing has notched up its audio game with the global launch of its new line of wireless earbuds on Thursday, April 18, called Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a).   

The London-based tech brand made this announcement at the Q1 Community Update in Tokyo, Japan. Additionally, it also announced ChatGPT integrations in its audio and smartphone products, which, according to the company, is the first in the industry. 

The earbuds maintain Nothing’s signature style of a transparent design, with the Ear (a) having a new look with the addition of a bubble design and coming in a yellow colour. 

According to the company, the Ear is equipped with a custom 11 mm dynamic driver, which is Nothing’s most advanced driver system to date, with the inclusion of a ceramic diaphragm for overall crisper sound.  

On the other hand, Ear (a) comes with a new driver system that delivers 2.5 times more transient power, supported by Nothing’s dual chamber design, providing a deep and powerful bass performance. 

As claimed by Nothing, both earbuds feature a new smart Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) system that adjusts accordingly to the noise leakage between the earbuds and the ear canal. At 45 dB, both Ear and Ear (a) offer noise cancellation that is almost two times that of Ear (2). 

Ear (a) comes with a  500 mAh battery in the charging case and a 46 mAh battery in each bud, allowing users to get up to 42.5 hours of music playback after a full charge.  Ear, on the other hand, has 40.5 hours of playback on a full charge with the charging case, or 8.5 hours of non-stop playback. 

Nothing also introduced the integration of ChatGPT with their earbuds and OS to offer users instant access to the AI directly from the devices.

Nothing Ear is priced at Rs 11,999 with sales starting on April 29, and Ear (a) at Rs 7,999 with sales starting on April 22. They will be available on Flipkart, Croma, and Vijay sales for purchase. However, both Ear and Ear (a) will be available at a special launch price of Rs 10,999 and Rs 5,999 (with offers), respectively, on Flipkart.
